What Costume Crush is

Costume Crush is an independent website that helps people discover Halloween costumes more efficiently. You answer a short set of questions — who you are shopping for, which styles to show you, the vibe you want, size, budget, and when you need it — and then you react to one costume at a time: pass, more like this, or keep.

Anything you keep lands in a saved list you can review and compare. The more you react, the better the next suggestion gets.

What Costume Crush is not

• We do not manufacture, hold or ship costumes.
• We do not process payments and we never see your card details.
• We do not run a checkout. When retailer integrations become active, purchases will happen directly on participating retailers' own websites, under their terms.
• We are not a marketplace and we do not set prices.

Where the product is today

The discovery engine is built and running in private testing: the quiz, the keep/pass/more-like-this loop, the preference learning, the saved closet, the comparison view and the quality checks behind them all work.

The retail side is not connected yet. We are preparing applications to established affiliate and product-feed programmes. Until one is approved, this site deliberately shows no retailer product photography, no retailer pricing and no purchase links — only our own illustrations and clearly-labelled demonstrations.

We plan to work with established online costume and retail partners. We will name them here only once a relationship actually exists.

How we intend to make money

Costume Crush intends to earn affiliate commission when a shopper follows a qualifying link to a retailer and completes a purchase there, at no additional cost to the shopper. That is the whole model: no subscriptions, no paid placement, no selling your data.

One commitment matters more than the rest. Commission will never influence which costume we recommend or the order costumes appear in. In the product, the ranking engine is given a fixed set of costume attributes to read, and commercial fields are excluded from that set — the recommender cannot see a commission rate even if one exists. How we treat information

There are no accounts on Costume Crush. In the product, your answers and your saved costumes are stored in your own browser rather than on a server. This informational site collects nothing at all — see Privacy.
